Deleting a Database |
|
The Server Utility enables you to complete destroy a database. You will be prompted for a login username and password, and will have to choose a database to remove when selecting this option. You will be prompted several times to confirm the deletion.
This is the best way to remove a test database or any database you no longer use, because it will not only remove all of the database files, it will remove the entry from the appropriate .ini files (so it doesn't appear in the Database dropdown anymore, for example).
Deleting a Database
| 1 | Start the Server Utility and click Remove Database. |

| 2 | Choose the desired database, and enter the mtadmin password. |
| 3 | Click OK, and confirm the removal when prompted. If everything looks ok, the system will display a final warning. |

| 4 | Type "YES" in the box to confirm the removal, then click OK. |
If for some reason the database could not be automatically removed, you can do so manually by shutting down the server, then deleting the appropriate sub folder from the database folder.
