Using MemberTies Professional, any number of dues, donations, and/or activity postings can be grouped together as a "Deposit" identified by a deposit number and date.

Adding a Deposit

1Choose Tools > Deposits.
2On the Maintain Deposits window, click Add.
3The Deposit Detail window displays all postings currently assigned to this deposit as well as the deposit header information:

Deposit Date - The date of the deposit.  This may represent the date you create the deposit, or the date it goes to the bank.

Deposit Number - The system generates a deposit number automatically, but you can change it if you wish.  The system will always add 1 to the highest recorded deposit number when generating a new deposit.

4Click Add to search for more postings.
5On the Add Postings to Deposit window use the search criteria fields to limit the postings returned by the search:

Dates to Search (From) - The oldest date a dues/donations posting or activity income/expense entry can have. This defaults to the  date of the most recent deposit.

Dates to Search (To) - The most recent date a dues/donations posting or activity income/expense entry can have.

Records to Include - Indicate whether you want to search all records, or limit the search to dues, donations, or activities.

Posting Action - Indicate the type of postings to search. Most deposits will only contain Credit postings (activity income is treated as a credit), but you can search Debit postings as well.

6Click Search.
7Select one or more postings to add to the deposit, then click OK to return to the Deposit Detail window.
8Click OK to save the deposit.
