Payment methods enable you to identify payments by cash, cheque, Visa, etc.

Maintaining Payment Methods

1Choose Tools > Dropdown Lists > Payment Methods.
2The Maintain Payment Method list enables you to Add, Open, or Delete any entry.
3Choose the appropriate action. If you choose to add or change a method, the following fields are available:

 Name - The name of the method, such as "cash" or "American Express"

 Code - A short form of the name, used by default on posting reports and some lists. For example, "AMX" for "American Express.  "

 Default - Select this option if you want this method to be used automatically for new postings..

Combining Values

Entries on this list can be combined into one. See Merging/Combining Values for details.
