Lists are automatically refreshed by default each time a record is added or changed. However, potentially large lists like the Membership list can take some time to refresh if several thousand records are displayed.

If you don't want lists to refresh automatically, you can turn off a Miscellaneous preference to prevent it. If the preference is turned off, you can still manually refresh the list by pressing the F5 key or by choosing Actions > Refresh.
