Entering Date Criteria |
|
There are several options available for entering a Date criteria value to provide additional flexibility. You can specify a particular date, a predefined range of dates, or a relative date based on the current day (i.e., today + 5 days).
For example, these options enable you to set up a report to always retrieve records where the End Date is less than 30 days from the day the report is run, i.e. (End Date < Current Date + 30) as shown in the example below.

Note: "Current Date" is always the day the report is run.
The following options are available:
Use - This field determines how the date criteria is going to behave. There are several options:
| • | No Date - to find records where the date in question is blank. |
| • | Specific Date - to find records matching a specific date |
| • | Current Date (Today) - to find records matching the current date |
| • | Tomorrow - to find records matching the current date +1 day |
| • | Yesterday - to find records matching the current date -1 day |
| • | Current Date (Adjusted +/- Days) - to find records with a date relative to the current date. A negative number such as "-10" means the date must fall within the preceeding 10 days. A positive number such as "30" means the date must fall within the following 30 days. |
The rest of the options are predefined ranges. For example, if the report is run on 5/28/2005, the "Last Month" option means "4/1/2005 - 4/30/2005", and "Month to Date" means "5/1/2005 - 5/28/2005", and "Last Year" means 01/01/2004 - 12/31/2004.
Date - This field is only enabled when the "Use" field is set to "Specific Date" so you can choose the date.
Adjusted - This field only appears when the "Use" field is set to "Current Date (Adjusted +/- Days). Its usage is described above.
